The Remodeling Of America By Democrats

Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton

By Russell M. Scott Jr.

We are a nation predicated upon freedom and upon personal liberty. We are a nation predicated upon the right of the individual to seek liberty and happiness. We are a people who sought, and who still seek, to be free from outside interferences by anyone, even from those in our own government. We are a nation of individuality. We are a nation of achievers. We are a nation of people who take responsibility for our own achievements, as well as for our own failures. We have always been, however, a people who never give up. We never allow any thing to defeat us. We are a nation of farmers; ranchers, merchants, teachers, warriors and much more.

Today I think, we have forgotten our beginnings. Instead of Americans having a shared vision for America, we have become a divided nation. A nation full of individuals and of groups, each of which has their own vision for their own individual futures, not this nation. We are, however, a nation that once had an immutable vision for us all. Americans had a vision that we all once shared together at one time, no more.

The Socialist Democrats, Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton have a vision and have chosen to allow an extreme socialist, Marxist liberal group, MoveOn.org, to become the buyer and owners of the Democratic Party. It should be clear to all that socialism is their vision for you and me. In this election we are going to get some fourm of socialism weather we like it or not.

The question to be asked is about the future of this country, whether it will be freedom or socialism. This message was clear when Senate Socialist Democrats objected on the floor of the Senate to a resolution to denounce the despicable ad calling Gen. Petraeus a traitor. Make no mistake -- MoveOn.org owns the Democratic Party and Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“We bought it, we own it, and we’re going to take it back.” Those are the now infamous words spoken by MoveOn.org founder Eli Pariser when speaking about the Democratic Party after the 2004 elections. “We own it.” Make no mistake -- MoveOn.org owns the Democrat Party. “We bought it.” And how did MoveOn.org buy the Democratic Party? Campaign donations, of course. MoveOn.org has routed hundreds of thousands of campaign dollars to Democrats and they show no signs of slowing down. Congressman Tom Allen of Maine has accepted over $250,000 in donations through MoveOn.org alone. So it’s not surprising that Tom Allen has been deafeningly silent on this issue. Apparently the prospect of campaign funds is enough of an incentive for Democrats to stand idly by while a respected General is maligned before the country he has committed his life to protecting.

If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that if it is power and money that it values more, it will lose that too in time.

Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt." --Samuel Adams

"It is said that 'power corrupts,' but actually it's more true that power attracts the corruptible. The sane are usually attracted by other things than power." --David Brin

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our country men. --Samuel Adams

MoveOn.org  Democrats are working overtime to Re-model society.
A good example is in Hillary’s speech; she reiterated the theme that has been at the heart of her political vision from the start: "We are at a stage in history in which remolding society is one of the great challenges facing all of us in the West.”

This is the terminology of a utopian socialist. Hillary's ideology is an amalgam of New Left Marxism and grievance feminism, the kind of unwholesome stew that is commonplace on elite college campuses to day. Hillary Clinton claims we are "ready" for a new way.

(New Way My Ass)

First Lady, Hillary's official web site proclaims that "America is ready for universal health care.”

If we still believe in the fundamental principles on which this country was founded -- liberty, self-reliance, and limited government -- we must resist the song and dance of socialized medicine.

After the health care industry, MoveOn.org  Democrats have set their sights on the energy industry, which literally drives the economy, indeed our entire way of life.

Of course, socialists like Hillary and Obama plus MoveOn.org  Democrats believe that the American way of life is selfish, excessive, and wasteful. So they believe that ordinary Americans should be required by the government to make sacrifices, e.g., by mandating the kinds of cars people drive and the size of house you will live in and so no.

I believe that the 2008 election will be a referendum all right, not on the War in Iraq or taxes, but on whether the future of this country live's in freedom or socialism.

Now more than ever in this day and time the people are responsible for the character of their Government. If that body is ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, which it is, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature.

It’s that simple, Ray Charles can see that!

A lot of people pretend to be for change, but they offer only the same tired old excuses and bull shit from both party’s. I’m sick of it and I’m speaking out.

“Albert Einstein once said, "Insanity is when you think that by doing more of what you are already doing you can get a different outcome." An awful lot of our politics and government is insane by Einstein's standards.”

Dam, he’s right.

Here are examples of real change: as Newt see it.

These are the kinds of real changes you don't get in Washington today or in most of our state capitals.
Consider some of the following principles for real change:

    • There ought to be an optional single-rate tax simple enough to be filled out in one page. The optional single-rate tax ought to have a 17% rate for both individuals and corporations, so we can create more jobs in America instead of seeing them go overseas.
    • We need a strategy to reindustrialize America and bring jobs back to America.
    • There should be tax incentives for companies that make their headquarters in the United States and want to bring jobs to America.
    • We need a decisive series of reforms to keep New York City the financial capital of the world. There must be changes in litigation, regulation, taxation and the visa system if New York is to remain the best place for investment in the world. Every American has a stake in keeping investment activity in the United States, and we need this change quickly or London may replace New York by the end of the decade.
    • Social Security today is not facing up to the reality of people living longer, and it should be reformed to ensure it is stable and reliable and taken away from the politicians so the younger generation can rely on it. People should have the option to have a personal account in Social Security that they can invest to get a bigger retirement income. Any money left over in their personal Social Security account should belong to them, and they should be able to leave it to their family -- something they cannot do today.
    • Since we have an obligation to be good stewards of God's creation for future generations, we need a new program of scientific and technological change and entrepreneurial leadership to meet the environmental and energy challenges.
    • We should dramatically increase our investment in math and science learning and keep reforming and innovating until the failing bureaucracies in education are replaced by systems in which young Americans learn better than their foreign competitors.
    • There should be a prize for breakthroughs in the environment and for highly fuel-efficient vehicles.
    • Companies that invest in cutting emissions ought to get a tax credit to accelerate lowering carbon in the atmosphere.
    • Homeowners should get tax credits for modernizing their homes and reducing energy use.
    • The United States could reduce the carbon going into the atmosphere by 2,200,000,000 tons a year and be 15% better than the Kyoto standard if we simply produced the same percentage of electricity from nuclear power as France does today. There should be a strong effort to develop safe, reliable, 21st-Century models of nuclear plants which could be built quickly and reliably.
    • Schools should be encouraged to open each day with a moment of silent prayer so those students who want to have a chance to be reverent at the beginning of each school day can do so.
    • American history should be reemphasized in both K-12 and in college, and being able to pass a basic test in American history should be a part of both high school and all publicly funded college graduation requirements.
    • We should reassert and reemphasize what is written in our Declaration of Independence, that our rights come from our Creator and are unalienable, and we should insist on the constitutionality of saying "One Nation under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance.
    • The McCain-Feingold Censorship Act is unconstitutional and is a big part of why we now have destructive two-year long campaigns, and it should be repealed and replaced with a simple system of reporting all contributions every night on the Internet so everyone can see where every candidate's support comes from.

Now crap folks I think this is one hell of a start and it dam sure beats what we are hearing from both parties today. One more thing to think about is this, the unanswered questions aren't nearly as dangerous as the unquestioned answers. Mmmmmm !!!
As I see it, we will be either governed and have our freedom or we will have socialism and be ruled by the bayonet. It is up to YOU THE VOTER! We are paying the bills. What do you demand?
